The following links provide specific information showing a comparison of the first 6 months of 2007 and 2008. These statistics are derived from the Napa Valley local Multiple Listing Service (MLS).
The report shows median sales price and days on the market. The median sales price is that price having an equal number of higher priced and lowered priced sales on either side of it. Days on the market, as reported by the MLS system, is the number of days from the time the listing was taken and the time the property gained pending status. Pending is a term used to indicate the moment the Buyer has removed all contingencies of purchase and the last stage is funding of the loan to complete the escrow.
